Legacy Capital is a full-service financial advisory firm located in The Woodlands, Texas. Each financial advisor at our firm is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™. We work with individuals, multi-generation families, executives & business owners in helping them to achieve their financial goals. We begin each relationship identifying and prioritizing goals and creating custom strategies.

Crystal Prachyl, CFP®, CDFA®, CRPC®, CPFA® is a Managing Partner of Legacy Capital. Crystal focuses on comprehensive financial planning for individuals, families and corporate clients. She enjoys working with clients to establish financial goals and providing an objective overview. Client education is a priority of Crystal’s and she works one-on-one with individuals to help each person become an educated consumer of his or her own financial affairs. Crystal’s work includes comprehensive financial planning for clients to determine cash flow needs, forecasting future income needs, tax, retirement, insurance and estate planning, as well as charitable giving. Collaborating with clients, Crystal addresses the broad range of their financial concerns, including retirement, insurance, and estate planning. As an active member in the community, Crystal is involved in The Woodlands United Methodist Church, Women’s Energy Network, Houston A&M Club, and Girl Scouts of America. Crystal received her Bachelor of Science degree at Texas A&M University in 2004. Crystal and her husband Will, a paramedic with the Houston Fire Department, live in The Woodlands with their daughters Rebecca and Hannah. Crystal holds the following designations: CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®, Certified Divorce Financial Advisor, Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor and Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor. She has been in the financial services industry since 2007.
Chase Hammett, CFP® is a Managing Partner of Legacy Capital. Chase manages the firm’s investment committee and advises individuals and institutions on their investment and wealth advisory needs. He also works with clients to help them determine goals and identify financial risks, creating an allocation strategy for their investments. Chase builds and implements a disciplined, ongoing process to ensure that the complexities inherent to his clients’ wealth are addressed. Chase received his Bachelor of Arts in Finance at Texas State University prior to joining the financial services industry and also served in the Texas Army National Guard. Chase enjoys spending time with family, traveling and volunteering with local Veteran organizations.
Douglas Dobson, CFP® focuses on creating wealth management strategies for entrepreneurs, business executives and retirees. Doug works extensively with client’s legal and tax professionals to carefully devise an optimal wealth management plan for each household. Doug received his BBA in Accounting from Texas A&M University and has been in the financial services industry since 1994. Prior to becoming a financial advisor, Doug served as a Controller in the energy industry. As a Certified Public Accountant®, Doug also taught continuing education to CPAs and attorneys for 8 years. Doug lives on Lake Conroe with his wife, Charlotte and is active in the Houston Sail & Power Squadron, Lake Conroe Sailing Association and Boy Scouts of America.
Micala Patschke is the Vice President of Operations. Micala manages the operations side of the practice, coordinating the processing and tracking of many types of account activity including account opening, maintenance, transfers, daily client requests as well as providing general office support. Micala holds multiple roles with Legacy Capital and enjoys the diverse challenges of her roles. Micala is also responsible for overseeing the firm’s wide-ranging marketing and communications initiatives. Micala started her career as an intern at Merrill Lynch through the Texas A&M University Financial Planning program in 2017 and transitioned into a full-time position upon receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business from Texas A&M. Micala and her husband Bryce, who is also an Aggie, reside in the Cypress area. They both enjoy spending time with family, traveling and volunteering in the community.
Brett R. Danko, CFP®, CRPC® has worked in the financial services industry for over 25 years and is a featured nationwide lecturer on matters of personal finance. He is regularly called upon by the financial services industry to provide financial planning training to top tier financial advisors and to consult on complex planning issues affecting their clients. Brett is the Founder and Managing Partner of Main Street Financial Solutions, LLC, specializing in financial planning and asset management. In that capacity, he helps the firm’s clients address their complex financial planning and investment situations. In addition, Brett is a dynamic speaker with the ability to deliver complex information to professionals and clients in an easily understandable way. He teaches all the required CFP® Certification Education Courses (Financial Planning, Insurance, Investments, Income Tax, Retirement and Estate) and CFP® Board Certification Examination Prep Courses throughout the United States. He also provides classroom continuing education to industry professionals. Brett is a regular speaker at key client events where he presents on emerging and hot topics in the financial planning arena. Brett grew up in Pittsburgh, PA and is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. He lives in Lawrenceville, NJ with his wife and two children.
Terry Dzelzgalvis, CPA is the Chief Financial Officer and responsible for the firm’s financial activities, office operations and client service support. Prior to joining the firm, Terry garnered significant experience as an independent financial consultant where she worked with small companies and nonprofits to streamline their financial operations. She was also a financial administrator at the University of Pennsylvania for ten years, after having started her career as an assurance associate with Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers). Terry holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics (majoring in accounting) from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where she co-captained the women’s lacrosse team. She is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Pennsylvania. Terry lives with her husband and four children in Yardley, Pennsylvania.
As the Chief Operations Officer, Courtney Elliott’s responsibilities include the human resources, operations and compliance functions at the firm. Courtney works to provide guidance to advisors on operations and procedures to ensure compliance and to protect the interests of the firm’s clients. In addition, she also assists in the overall client experience by supporting advisors and addressing our client’s needs. Prior to joining Main Street Financial Solutions, Courtney previously held executive level Human Resources positions specializing in the development and implementation of HR strategies and programs. Courtney lives in Yardley, PA with her husband and three boys.
